Dave Stevens’ Quiz Afternoons

Come along for a fun afternoon to test the grey matter. You do not need to have a team as you form teams on arrival.  No individual questions, there will be various rounds including a general knowledge, picture and a music round.
There will be an interval for refreshments.
Venue - St Cuthbert's Church Centre, Northumbria Hall
Time - 2.00 - 4.00 pm    Admission -  £3.00

Thursday 27th August    Colin Galbraith:  'Winston Churchill - Seven Decisions That Won The War

When Churchill became Prime Minister in May 1940, this country was at war with the greatest military force Europe had ever known, intent on imposing Nazi ideology on all it conquered.

Churchill's speeches gave hope and resolve not only to the people of Britain, but also to the oppressed people of the occupied countries.

This talk examines Chirchill's stratgegic vision, and how seven crucial decisions paved the way for victory.
